My family members and I find peace and solace in the fact that he is now reunited with her in heaven. When my Mama, the love of his life, passed away last year, Papi was not quite the same. However he made it clear that although he was no longer a Catholic, he was still a Christian, and would always be proud of his Catholic heritage. The cornerstone of this foundation was the deep-rooted pride he had in his heritage and his faith. Coming from a very poor family, with just the shoes on his feet and the shirt on his back, Papi built a solid foundation for his business and for his own family.
